A first-person or secondhand report, not a controlled study — the weakest form of evidence, but the most common form circulating in psychedelic culture.

Example: Psilomethoxin (see entry above) is the cautionary case: a religious group's claimed novel compound, widely discussed anecdotally, that an actual analytical chemistry study found no evidence for.
