Definium's LSD Pill Already Won a Phase 3 in Depression — Not Just Anxiety
Our own anxiety-drug market piece scoped Definium Therapeutics' (Nasdaq: DFTX) DT120 — an orally-disintegrating LSD tablet — to its two positive Phase 3 trials in generalized anxiety disorder. That undersold it. DT120 also has a positive Phase 3 win in major depressive disorder: Emerge, which read out June 22, 2026, showed a -8.1 point placebo-adjusted improvement on the MADRS depression scale at Week 6 across 149 participants (p<0.0001) — rapid (-14.2 points at Week 1) and durable (-7.3 points at Week 12). The FDA granted DT120 Breakthrough Therapy Designation for depression on Aug 27, 2026 on the strength of that result. A second, confirmatory MDD Phase 3 (Ascend, roughly 175 participants) dosed its first patient May 12, 2026, with topline data expected in 2027.
Between the anxiety and depression programs, that's three of Definium's four late-stage readouts positive so far — arguably a bigger story than the anxiety angle alone, and one worth correcting for here. Full trial history is in our trials tracker.
